This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 126

If you run a WordPress.com blog and have been waiting for the new Twenty-Nineteen default theme, it is now available. I’m considering giving it a try on my personal blog, but have to set aside time to customize it to suit my needs. There’s no way I’m sticking with a default looking default theme.

Do you know how to do Internationalization for WordPress now that 5.0 is out? Well, Pascal Birchler has put up a post about it that you should read if you develop with WordPress, especially if you are just tooling up to do React based work.

WPKube has a post where they compare five different security plugins for WordPress. The article is a bit short, but a great primer to the options that are out there. In the end, the author seems to lean towards Sucuri. At PressTitan, we have found that the drawbacks on all of these tools are pretty high, and haven’t been able to settle on one-tool fits all situations option for WordPress security.

Just a reminder that tomorrow’s episode will be the last one for twenty-eighteen.

That’s it for today’s WP Minute, thank you all for watching.
