This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 139

At PressTitan, we spend a lot of time learning about the latest in web application security, so it was nice to see the post from TorqueMag that we can show our clients. It talks about using a web application firewall and why that is a great addition to an overall security plan for your WordPress powered site.

Have you ever run into the file type is not permitted issue when trying to upload something to your media library or WordPress file system? Well, WPKube has a post on why that happens and how you can fix it. I recommend doing a backup of your site before you change any files on your server.

Over on GiveWP, they have a post explaining why WordPress is perfect for nonprofits. If you are on some weird platform specifically for non-profits, take some time to compare it against WordPress to make sure you aren’t missing out on some great opportunities.

Lastly, Joost De Valk has posted about WordPress’ market share which has grown to 33% and that’s eleven times larger than the second biggest CMS system. He shows the raw data, talks about future potential growth and expectations for the top ten list of content management systems over the next couple of years.

That’s it for today’s WP Minute, thank you all for watching.
