This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 150
I really love the idea that so many people are finding ways to customize Gutenberg blocks. Today I have a post by ThemeShaper that highlights how easy it is to create block styles or alternative CSS for a baked in block. This is something I want to experiment with as I think it could be very helpful for some of our clients to help quickly create design variations for different sections of a page, or different brands.
Over on TorqueMag, they have an article that walks you through the things you should be doing to keep WordPress running properly. The article is pretty basic, but if you get to the end of it and feel like it is too much for you, PressTitan does have a $99 per month WordPress maintenance plan that covers updates, security, backups, and more.
Lastly, we have a post on the Jetpack blog that talks about how Publicize is continuing to be broken by third parties. Sometimes it feels like social networks don’t want automated posts on their sites from our WordPress blogs. LinkedIn is the latest to disrupt things, but thankfully, if you use LinkedIn and want your blog content shared there automatically, it seems to be just a simple reauthorization request and it will be working.
That’s it for today’s WP Minute, thank you all for watching.
