This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 57

Winning WP has put together a WordPress SEO guide that goes over a bunch of facets of making your site more optimized.
The article is fairly detailed and long, but most of its points are pretty on the money.

I will say that some of the plugin recommendations, like the broken link checker, make me cringe because of what they do to site and server performance, but for the most part, I’d recommend those interested in improving their SEO take a look at this post.

Over on BleepingComputer, there is an article up that discusses a recent issue with the United Nations WordPress site that allowed people to download vast amounts of resumes that had been uploaded to the site.

It looks like the folder that the resumes were uploaded to wasn’t secure and so anyone could download the resumes of hundreds of applicants.
This is less a WordPress issue and more a server settings/security issue, but it is being reported with WordPress’ name attached to it.

Lastly, over on WPBeginner, there is a post about the best commercial WordPress theme shops.
It highlights many great organizations and I’d highly recommend, if you don’t like any of the free theme options and can’t afford to have a custom theme developed that you look at these organizations before going to ThemeForest.

That’s it for today’s WP Minute, thank you all for watching.
