The WP Minute – Episode 58

This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 58

It used to be pretty popular to use short URL generator tools, but I haven’t seen this practice as much recently, but if you are looking for a way to create custom short URLs for your WordPress blog, WPExplorer has some options for you.

They focus on some WordPress plugins as well as pointing to the old TinyURL service that I used to use.

Speaking of things I used to use, Tom McFarlin has listed the tools he uses for WordPress projects and I see some things mentioned that I either use or have tried. He starts his article by making sure you know how to set up WordPress debugging in a helpful, developer-focused way, and then goes through what he uses to develop for WordPress. He’s one of the only developers I’ve seen that uses Visual Studio Code.

The last thing I wanted to mention today is that WPTavern has a quick article walking through the WordPress Tokyo 2018 event. I am so interested in seeing WordCamps from around the world, having only been to ones in North America. Someday I’ll go to Japan.

That’s it for today’s WP Minute, thank you all for watching.
