This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 64

Even if you don’t have a WPMU subscription, the post on WPExplorer might convince you to set up Hummingbird. The author goes over what Hummingbird is and how it can help speed up your WordPress site.

We have some sites running Hummingbird at PressTitan, but we have primarily gone with WP Rocket. We do test out a few different plugins though and none of our suite of managed WordPress sites are all using the same plugin set.

My feeling is that if you aren’t subscribed to WPMU’s Premium subscription service, I’d recommend looking at the other options available because I don’t know what limitations the free version of Hummingbird has. There are plenty of free and paid WordPress plugins that’ll improve your site speed.

As someone that is a co-founder of what is essentially a mix between managed WordPress hosting, and WordPress management services, reading about Pagely is very interesting to me.

Over on their blog, they discuss what the last nine years have been like for them, but in the end, the post seems like an advertisement for a lower cost option that they’ll be releasing soon. I’ll be interested to see what their offering looks like.

That’s it for today’s WP Minute, thank you all for watching.
