This is Malcolm Peralty here from PressTitan and this is The WP Minute, Episode 79

A special note to start the show, over the next week, I’ll be visiting with family and as such, I’ll be back to not having a camera for a week. I’ll miss being able to emote at the news, but the show must go on.

Our first story today is that the WordCamp US speaker list, schedule and session information are now available. The event is on December 7th and 8th, with the 9th being a contributor day and it is being held in Nashville.

I recognize more than a few names and think some of the talks look great. They even have some fifteen-minute lightning talks that are sure to keep your attention. You better order your ticket soon if you want to go.

My poor brain… Over on the Elegant Themes blog, they have a post that is supposed to be an introduction to React, but I think I need an introduction to that introduction. I’m sure for someone with some JavaScript fundamentals under their belt, they’ll look through the article and be fine, but I still struggle with understanding all the nuances of JavaScript.

The StudioPress.fm podcast is back! I’m sorry to say that I hadn’t listened to it before, but I’ll definitely make an effort this time around as Chris Garrett is one of my favourite people. WPTavern covers the return and highlights how ready Genesis is for Gutenberg.
